Katerina Papadopoulou is a Greek media composer, music producer, and songwriter. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Musicology with a focus on music acoustics and sound technology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In addition, she gained advanced music theory diplomas from Greek conservatories and conducted research into the field of music assistive technology, creating a prototype musical instrument aimed at improving the outcomes of manual dexterity in ischemic stroke patients.
After being selected for the Fulbright scholar award, she earned an M.F.A. in Film Music Composition from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, as well as worked in Los Angeles gaining hands on experience with sample library development at 8dio/Soundpaint Productions while simultaneously composing for films across a variety of genres. Her music has been heard at BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, RiverRun International Film Festival, achtung berlin Filmfestival, Real to Reel International Film Festival, Wildlife Conservation Film Festival, and on radio stations across Greece.
